Lost Beasts Series 1

About

A new paleontology series follows scientists using groundbreaking technology to preserve and understand some of our world’s most formidable ancient and extinct creatures.

I produced, shot, and directed two episodes of the series. The first is about the Basilosaurus, a mysterious ancient whale Egyptian paleontologists are investigating at Wadi Hitan (Valley of the Whales), and the second looks at the rise, reign, and downfall of the Mammoths from Hot Springs in South Dakota to the suburbs of Paris and evidence kept in the stores of the Natural History Museum in London.

I also took the Mammoths episode through the edit, working with footage I had shot, archive, and devising extensive graphics to help bring these lost animals to life on the screen.
