I am a self shooting assistant producer with experience in science, engineering and observational documentaries. I have worked across a range of factual programmes setting up shoots, sourcing contributors, and finding experts and stories for content. A personal highlight was working directly with Stephen Hawking on the science series Genius for PBS and National Geographic Channel.
I have strong location experience working with contributors and self-shooting in various places around the world – including solo shoots – from police stations in London to the largest shipyards in Asia and astronomical observatories in Arizona. I have shot for broadcast using the Canon C300, XF305, 5D and Sony FS7, PMW 300 and A7S. I’m confident editing short reels and assemblies in Premiere Pro. I hold a valid US i-Visa and clean driving license.
I have a strong scientific background with a degree in Anthropology – specialising in human evolution. In a project last year, this enabled me to devise and direct a series of children’s educational science films. I also have a passion for the mountains, outdoors and adventure.
I thoroughly enjoy working on science and human interest programming, but I’m keen to get stuck into any new project.
